Our next exhibition at Hand Held is 'Hidden Facets', a collaborative by Abby Seymour and Katherine Wheeler. Both have posted images of work for the exhibition on their blogs and things seem to be coming along beautifully. I think this is going to be a very exciting show!

More Rogue Ideas Opening

Selena de Carvalho's 'More Rogue Ideas' opened Wednesday eve to a great crowd of admirers and keen interest. This an exhibition of objects, effigies and oddities, macabre miscellany and ethereal beauty held together in a collection of dark wood and found frames captured in museum silence.

Tea with Chloe Vallance

We finished up Chloe Vallance's exhibition on Saturday with an excellent turn out for 'tea with the artist'. A great opportunity to meet and chat with the artist, Chloe had many fans keen to listen as she described her process, technique and inspiration.

Next Up

Selena de Carvalho's new exhibition 'More Rogue Ideas' will open Wednesday Feb 10th 6-8pm. Created from an evocative palette of printed work, gleaned materials, drawn and sculptural works, Selena explores the deeply mysterious world we inhabit.

'The wild and unpredictable weather patterns, El Nino and La Nina; are both devastating and humbling in their temperament. El Nino translates from spanish as boy child & La Nina as girl child. By personifying these elemental attributes of destruction and enchantment in the form of children I am creating a poetic narrative that reflects on human interaction with our environment.'
